Around Waco and Robinson, the weekend already has music without waiting on a clock.

What is actually happening here this week

This morning, Retro Runway from Waco Cultural Arts Fest runs 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lee Lockwood Library, 2801 W Waco Drive. The show walks vintage looks from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, with music in the room, then lunch. Tickets benefit The Yellow Cottage Kitchen, a baking program for adults with intellectual differences. Costumes are welcome.

Tonight, Visit Waco lists STORIES Music Night at Anthem STORIES from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Carter Faith plays Howdy at the Hurd at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Pat Green is at Backyard Live, and Baylor hosts Colorado at McLane Stadium for a throwback game. Over in Robinson, the high school cross country invitational is this morning, with 9th-grade and JV football against Glen Rose this evening.

That is a full stretch of days if you like live sound, old clothes, or both. Some folks will queue new music at midnight and call it a night. Others will be in a gym, on a field, or standing in a library-turned-runway before the new tracks even exist on a phone.

Graphic tees are back in the conversation

In August, NPR's Ayesha Rascoe talked with Vogue writer Christian Allaire about graphic T-shirts filling runways and red carpets again. Old band shirts, slogans, college marks, prints worn enough to look like they have a history. Allaire's test was simple: if a stranger's shirt makes you want to talk, it did its job. Retro Runway is the local version of that same itch, just closer to home than a fashion week seat.

People still argue about whether streaming killed the object. Cassette grids, saxophones, and boombox drawings keep showing up on shirts because the picture is easier to love than another blank black tee. You do not need the original tape. You need something that reads as music when you walk into STORIES or sit in the stands at McLane.

We print that kind of shirt here in Robinson. What we do have are music graphics that fit a listening Friday, a retro runway, or a throwback Saturday. These four are live Station designs:

How we run it from Robinson

Wild Creation Station is a small shop in Robinson, TX. We DTF-print apparel, and we also carry jewelry, sports and collectible cards, and fixed-and-found. Tees are S-XL $19.99, 2XL-3XL $22.99, and 4XL-5XL $24.99. Local pickup in Robinson TX.

If you are heading to Lee Lockwood this morning, order after you get home. Pickup works if you are already driving through Robinson.

Put on the new music you have been waiting for. Wear something you already like to whatever is playing in town. That is the whole weekend from here.

See you next time,

Love, blessings y bendiciones.
